Her sketch pad is littered with pencil and marker caricatures of political luminaries, sensuous nudes and sculpted physiques. Every line, every curve quakes and aches with the worship of Beauty. One glance at her captivating face - her thoughtfully trimmed brows, artfully made-up eyes, generously rouged lips and this idolization presents itself to the most indifferent of observers.

Hadijah, though caged in a slightly contorted body with muscular dystrophy, has never given anyone reason to hurl insults at her physical appearance nor talents. Her strong sense of pride and dignity forbids her to delight in mediocrity. Be it a skeletal draft at a demonstration or a corporate commission in oil, Hadijah presses each stroke with loving care, correctly and adjusting each line till satisfaction glows. Her high expectations of herself and her work demands equal respect and appreciation from her arts managers and clients alike.
