Occupation: Artist Kim Ngoh graduated with a Diploma in Fine Art from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in 1970, specializing in Watercolour Painting. She obtained her second Diploma in Oil Painting in 1980 from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, Halifax, Canada. Since her return to Singapore, Kim Ngoh has been working as an artist. Kim Ngoh sees Art as a documentary of past kampong scenes, when life seems purer, simpler and more in touch with the human soul. She won several awards for her participation in the National Day Art Exhibitions between 1972 – 1979. In 1998, Kim Ngoh bagged the Phillip Morris ASEAN Art Distinction Award and in 2000, she received the Very Special Arts Gold Award. Kim Ngoh had also worked on corporate commissions for The American Club and The Plaza Fitness and Spa. She aims to gain international recognition as a professional artist and hopes to be able to exhibit her works globally.
