This October, to celebrate VSA Singapore’s 25th anniversary, we are delighted to announce that we are hosting an Inaugural Charity Golf Tournament and aim to raise $20,000. Tackle challenges such as “Beat-the-Pro” Challenge, with special guest and golf professional, Mr Daren Lim and stand a chance to win a Mercedes-Benz GLA 180 in our Hole-in-One prize! The 16th edition of ‘See What I See’ – VSA Singapore’s Annual Art Competition for Children and Youths with Special Needs is back!

The Competition is open to participants aged 6 to 35 years old, so send the details to your alumni and friends!

2018 Theme: JOURNEY

Submission Deadline: 6 August 2018, 6pm

VSA Singapore’s journey in creating and providing access and opportunities for people with disabilities through the arts for the past 25 years has been wonderful, and we want our participants to share their unique journeys with us this year!

Reminder on the following:

a) Artwork MUST BE on A3 size (42.0cm x 29.7cm) paper. Framed paintings will not be accepted.

b) Don’t pre-select! Send your students/clients’ artworks even if it doesn’t look ‘perfect’ or worth the competition. You really never know!

Citi-YMCA Youth For Causes (YFC) – Volunteer With VSA

Officially launched in 2003, Citi-YMCA Youth For Causes (YFC) is a community initiative started by Citi and the YMCA of Singapore in 2003. Funded by Citi Foundation, the programme is a catalyst to promote social entrepreneurship and community leadership development among Singapore youths. It provides youths aged 15 to 25 with a platform which includes seed funding, training and volunteer mentorship for executing self-initiated projects to raise public awareness, funds and mobilise volunteers for Voluntary Welfare Organizations (VWOs) of your choice.

Adopt Very Special Arts Singapore as your charity and embark on our unforgettable experience of empowering lives of our beneficiaries. With seeding funding, mentorship and training, journey with us to raise awareness on our worthy cause and fundraise in the process.

YFC complements the “Values in Action” (VIA) programme as part of Ministry of Education’s Character and Citizenship Education.
